Lord,

You see my broken heart.

You know the words I can’t say

and the tears no one notices.

 

I bring this breakup to You—this pain that runs through me.

I admit that I cannot heal on my own.

I need You,

Your peace,

Your presence that restores what I cannot understand.

 

Your Word says:

“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”

(Psalm 147:3)

So I ask You to do what only You can do:

pick up the pieces of my heart and rebuild me.

 

Teach me to let go of what is no longer meant for me.

Free me from regret, fear, and the feeling of failure.

Replace the pain with Your hope,

and the emptiness with Your presence.

 

Lord,

walk with me into this new season.

Restore my soul,

quiet my thoughts,

and give me the assurance that You are preparing something good,

even if I cannot see it yet.

 

Thank You that You never abandon me.

Thank You that Your love truly heals.

I give You my heart,

and I choose to believe that You will lift me up again.
